Divya Elting

About us

Divya was first introduced to yoga in 1999, and soon after she developed a regular practice and the desire to teach. She completed a 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) in Los Angeles as well as a 200-hour Akhanda Yoga YTT in India with Yogrishi Vishvketu. Divya has taught yoga in Canada, Hong Kong, U.S.A., India and the U.A.E., in addition to managing a busy urban yoga center. She has presented workshops for teachers in Hatha Yoga, Pre-natal Yoga, and Mantra. She has been involved with Akhanda Yoga foremost as a student, but also as a teacher for the 200-hour YTTs at which she facilitates classes in philosophy/lifestyle/ethics, methodology and techniques. Divya is inspired by many teachers: in addition to Vishva-ji and Chetana-ji, Divya has enjoyed studying with David Life and Sharon Gannon of Jivamukti, Anusara’s Desiree Rumbaugh, Paul Grilley, Louisa Sears and Aadil Palkivala. She especially gains inspiration from her students and her “World Yoga Family”. Divya encourages her students to: “Jump into the divine current with the essence of receptivity, and flow through the practice. Observe your breath, body, mind and heart, and embrace your own divinity, bringing yoga into every aspect of your life”.

Free Retreat Givewaway

We love you. And because we do, we're giving away another free retreat.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Retreats inspire me to continue to practice and fuel my journey. I always find specified intention and feel it projects me closer to my purpose. Shannon
