As a captivating international speaker, JoAnn Lowell is warm, generous and real. She is aligned with the wisdom teachings from medicine teachers from many Indigenous communities and she is a champion of the collective awakening and of remembering our sacred place on our one beautiful blue planet. For over 35 years she has helped midwife new mothers through the miracle of birth, many of those births in a beautiful birthing house of her design. She has been instrumental in the global Birthing the New Humanity movement. In the past 20 years JoAnn has been a visionary for the International Breathwork Foundation (IBF) as a presenter at UN conferences and as the creator and project leader for the Conscious Breathing in the Classroom program. She envisions each child on the planet discovering the power and magic of their own conscious breath. The Breathing Classroom program has spread far and wide to breathworkers, teachers and parents in over 60 countries and has been translated into a dozen languages.
A Renaissance woman, JoAnn is a professional breathwork practitioner, traditional midwife, architect, filmmaker, permaculturist, singer, artist, activist, writer, ceremonial leader and mother. She is motivated by the promise for each person to realize their own inherent goodness, and to recognize it is already here. JoAnn lives in a beautiful remote mountain community in western Canada, where she delights in the regular company of the hundreds of new mothers and their children she has helped bring into the world.
