Maya Lewandowsky

About The Teacher

Maya Lewandowsky manifests as a Dharma dancing dakini. She has been studying with teachers Doug Duncan Sensei and Catherine Pawasarat Sensei since 2007. She grew up in Israel where she studied Dharma and explored the nature of consciousness in her early twenties.  “While using dance and theatre to investigate my aliveness there was a realization that I needed to dance beyond “my life”. Meditation was the missing tool. How does one simply be with whatever arises? My deepest meditations have revealed that all the identity associated with being a professional performer, an actress or a woman is simply illusory; a construct of mind. I invite you to explore your illusions in a creative way. My approach to teaching Dharma seeks to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary, darkness into hope, uncertainty into vision, greed into generosity, hatred into love and confusion into wisdom through a contemporary and accessible interpretation of ancient teachings.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

After having just completed my RYT 200 I have been inspired to further my yoga journey and my own personal journey inward. I have fallen in love with yoga and how it has changed my life and I just want to continue to explore so I can share this beautiful gift with as many as possible. Jessica
