About us

Angela Buttimer, MS, NCC, CHC, RYT, LPC is a licensed professional counselor, certified coach, professional speaker, TEDx Speaker, stress and mindfulness expert and author of the book, CALM: Choosing To Live Mindfully. Angela is also a registered yoga and meditation teacher. She is a regular contributor at Huffington Post. She has also been featured on Newstalk 1160 Radio. She was interviewed as an expert on NBC/11 Alive on “Five Things To Say To Cancer Patients.” She and her husband Dennis recently gave a TEDx Talk on “Defusing Stress With Mindful Mojo.” Their talk can be viewed at–KpJ1fatzY&t=316s Angela has been a program developer and clinical facilitator at Chapman Cancer Wellness Piedmont Healthcare for the past eleven (11) years. She founded and facilitates the mindfulness program and has developed numerous specialty programs to educate and assist cancer patients and caregivers. She has spoken at various oncology conferences and did keynote addresses at Cancer Survivor Day in 2015 and Angels on Earth in 2016.  Additionally, she has taught fellow professionals around the country on Mind-Body programming. This sounds like a dream! I am an education student and I have spent way too much time working all summer to pay for school. My boyfriend of 5 years is a government firefighter and has been away working most of the summer. His 30th Birthday and our 6th anniversary is coming up this winter, we would love to celebrate with a yoga retreat! We both love yoga but have barley had time to practice in the past few months.
