Dan Hines

About us

Dan is a leadership consultant for business, educational, and religious organizations: a coach and speaker. He facilitates programs in collaboration with the Center for Courage & Renewal and has been mentored by American activist and social thinker, Parker J. Palmer, in small group facilitation. Much of his professional experience has been in ministry as an ordained priest in the Anglican Church of Canada and non-profit management.

As co-founder of the intentional community, RareBirds Housing Co-operative, Dan Hines has a passion for exploring alternative living and a more sustainable relationship to the land.  He is involved in politics, social justice and environmental activism.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My inspiration is to find some very much needed solace away from the stress of raising 4 children, working (as a dietitian) and trying to get my private nutrition counseling practice launched.
