About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Fia is a curandera who has been working with the healing plants of the Amazon region of Peru for over a decade. Living in the heart of the Amazon jungle, she continues her practice and learning through the careful guidance of her Maestro in the tabaquero / ayahuasquero lineage.
Born in the United States, she understands the worldview of western people, yet has been initiated into the ancient, earth-based practices of the shamanic realm. She speaks the soul language of many, and this unique gift allows her to bridge the gap between modern peoples and these ancient healing practices.
Fiammetta leads a life of service, carrying the medicines to where they are called to go, yet always returning to the jungle to deepen into study and mastery. She is dedicated to sharing ceremony in a traditional way, utilizing icaros (sacred songs / chants of the plants) and to maintaining the purity of these rituals as they have been cultivated by the indigenous peoples of the Amazon for thousands of years.
