Rebecca Butler

About us

Rebecca Butler has been practicing yoga since 1997 and teaching since 2008. Sheʼs studied with many yoga masters, the most influential of which are Ana Forrest and Baron Baptiste. She teaches in a unique style of meticulous flow designed to help you progress in your practice through a healing combination of strength and flexibility. In 2012, her mother passed from ALS (Lou Gehrigʼs disease). In the journey of slowly losing her mother, Rebecca learned that mobility and vitality are gifts to be savored, not squandered. She considers it her mission to spread this viewpoint. She also draws on the spiritual teachingʼs of many masters such as Anita Moorjani, Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, Caroline Myss and Brene Brown to create her inspiring approach to life summed up in two words: Choose Joy. Her classes will leave you physically satiated and spiritually uplifted. She is the lead teacher and studio manager at Karmany Yoga in Fort Worth, TX. She has recently become a retreat leader for The Travel Yogi and will led her first retreat to Aruba and inaugurated her Choose Joy curriculum in 2014. Rebecca is also a writer, poet, mother, and wife. Her writing has been published on MindBodyGreen, Elephant…

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

After having just completed my RYT 200 I have been inspired to further my yoga journey and my own personal journey inward. I have fallen in love with yoga and how it has changed my life and I just want to continue to explore so I can share this beautiful gift with as many as possible. Jessica
