He is a trained partner-acrobatics teacher and has completed contact improvisation intensives with a variety of teachers in Israel, USA, Canada, Australia, India, Argentina, Thailand & Brazil.
His background as a performer and director has focused his teaching style into how we enjoy the movement. What gives us freedom? And how do we find games in our dance? He likes to focus participants on becoming curious and tuning their awareness to the subtleties of their bodies in motion as they connect with their environment and other dancers. He likes to engage people’s imagination while at the same time give them a technical grounding. Participants will explore sharing weight, pouring weight, different types of touch, coming in and out of the floor, spiralling, leading/following, sharing a centre, maintaining your own centre, the expanding/contracting body, giving your weight, flying and exploring the backspace. With a background in Feldenkrais, he likes to encourage people to find what is an easy and effortless way to move. He has been teaching contact improvisation and Acroyoga around Melbourne and overseas for the last 8 years and is comfortable teaching all levels from beginners to advanced.
