About The Teacher
Koko’s journey into Yoga started in Tokyo, Japan in 2006. Combining with her Masters degree in “Sustainability and Leadership,” she served as a teacher for “Sustainability and Yoga” for 3 years for 200 hours Teachers Training at YogaJaya, one of the renowned Yoga Studios in Tokyo. From 2012 she moved to a permaculture farm in Thailand where her background is Zen Buddhism cultivated deeper meditation practice, leading her to combine breathing and compassionate mindsets with Yoga asanas. She completed her teachers training at Nosara Yoga Institute (NYI), Costa Rica with Don and Amba Stapleton in 2014. Currently, Koko teaches Regular Adult classes, Meditation classes, Beach Yoga classes, Kids Yoga classes at private retreats and schools in and around Nosara, Costa Rica. Her style is a combination of Vinyasa flow, meditation, breath work and fun body movements she calls “dance meditation.” She is an all-rounder from vigorous classes to easy and deep relaxing yoga, always connecting the students with their hearts and with the law of nature.
