Heather Bromberg
About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Seeking more of a connection to the land and a desire to go deeper within herself, she sought out yoga and earned her 200-RYT certification through Balanced Rock’s WildYoga Teacher Training program. It was there she found her community, and she’s been offering yoga classes for the past year (2019-2020) through a cycle of several different yoga studios (Studio M Yoga, Yogasemite and Mountain Fitness), and teaching at Balanced Rock’s weekly community yoga. Her yoga instruction is focused on centering and grounding through breath work, gentle movements and setting positive intentions during the practice to be shared with others.
Heather holds a BS Degree in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont (2005-2009). She studied climate change, environmental systems, and sustainability. She’s held a 10-year career in the environmental fields with environmental consultants, academics, federal government, county government, an outdoor gear shop, and non-profits. During her career she has learned various skills that are essential for supporting programs in a non-profit organization.
In addition to her work at Balanced Rock, she works at Mountain Meadow Farms which offers a local CSA share to the Yosemite area residents. Also, she is working on her year-long program for Health Coach certification through the online school Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN).
Outside of work she likes to play, focusing her physical activities on bouldering, trail running, playing ball with her Golden Retriever and hiking. She’s found a home among the Sierras and the Balanced Rock community.
