Jacob Felder, E-RYT 500

About us

Jacob Felder has been teaching Yoga and Meditation since 1985. He began practicing Yoga in 1969 and has remained faithful in his practice ever since. In the early ‘80s his passion took him to Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville, VA where he lived, studied, and trained for four transformative years.

Over the decades, Jacob’s passion for body awareness led him into the performing arts.  In 2001 he began studying and training as a professional circus-style acrobatic balancing artist. Since that time he has developed spell-binding performances for festivals, parties, and conventions.  He is also a professional dancer and choreographer.  He has trained in a wide array of dance genres including ballroom and Latin rhythms as well as modern, jazz, ballet and acrobatic dance forms. He has spent years studying the anatomy behind balance and Yoga along with the science behind meditation.

Jacob has produced two DVDs: Yoga Two-gether  and Gentle Yoga with Yogi Jacob.  He is the author of Meditation: The Awareness Approach as well as written numerous articles.

Jacob is certified with Yoga Alliance at the E-RYT 500 level.  He continues to further his yoga education in order to share his expertise and keep current.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

I go on retreat to remember who I really am. And I remember that I am alive, Deryk
