About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Nancy is Brother Maya's wife, 38 years old, and speaks Spanish. They discovered their magical union at a young age. They have been happily married for 17 years. Nancy is with us during the entire Mayan Secrets Shamanic Retreat.
Nancy's father was a respected member of Izamal's community who went to live in Mexico City, where Nancy was born. He educated her in all Mayan traditions, such as healing with medicinal plants, creating exquisite designs, weaving clothes, making weather predictions with "cabañuelas," and cooking delicious Mayan food. He also told her all the old legends from Izamal.
Nancy is an eternal light who accompanies Brother Maya in all Temazcal and other ceremonies, with a mission that each guest enjoys and connects with her power through their ceremonies with crystals, corn, sacred water, prayers, meditations in sacred places, and more.
We are lucky to be graced with Nancy's shining presence throughout the entire retreat.
