Yogini Gopika has more than 15 years of yoga experience that she brings to her class to offer her students a dynamic flow that is both energizing and rejuvenating. She was living and working in New York City with the desire to do something more meaningful. The first time she took a yoga class, she experienced a profound sense of peace like she never felt before; her life was changed forever.
She began her teacher training with Integral Yoga Institute and by the end of it not only she, but her entire life was transformed. She left her job to work at Integral Yoga and to teach at various studios throughout the city. Her practice deepened to include a daily Ashtanga and Vinyasa practice. Shortly thereafter, she journeyed to India where she has spent the better part of the last 10 years.
Her classes are a blend of the practices that have influenced her life: Astanga, Vinyasa, Hatha, and Tantra. She is also a certified Ayurvedic practitioner and gives lectures and consultations at the ashram.
