Is one of the first Westerners to have pioneered the field of entheogenic research and explore the world of shamanism in the Amazonian Basin in the 1980s. After co-founding Takiwasi Center for Drug Addiction Treatment and Research of Traditional Medicines in 2000 and co-directing the center for 8 years, he created Yacumaman Sanctuary of Integral Shamanism, located outside the city of Tarapoto in the upper Peruvian Amazon. Having apprenticed with both famous and anonymous indigenous and mestizo shamans throughout the Amazon Basin, Dionisio has been practicing as a traditional Amazonian vegetalista with the local populace and the world over for more than 20 years. For the last decade, Dionisio has distilled teachings from his experiences in various esoteric lineages, such as hermeticism, traditional alchemy, Buddhism, and Advaita Vedanta and integrated them into his work, which focuses on exploring the nature of consciousness and awakening our innate ability to activate and utilize the light body, through a connection to specific entheogenic plant medicines. Dionisio is the Director of Operations in Peru for Qori Inti Amazonian Herbals as well as the founder and director of Qori Inti Dharma Projects. Having lived in Peru over 30 years, he has cultivated an extensive network of contacts, many of which are amongst the indigenous population in the department of San Martin. Through his web of contacts, Qori Inti is able to procure the highest quality sustainably wildharvested raw materials and further our work of discovering and researching new botanical medicines to integrate into future products. Dionisio is currently at work on a book and conducts seminars regularly in the Amazon and around the world.
