Beth Maczka, a Vanderbilt Divinity School graduate, centers her studies on Mary Magdalene and why she is absent from much of art and liturgy. She highlights the lack of images depicting this profound passage in Mark 14:9 and the need to commission art that depicts Gospel women in positions of authority, as noted in the Bible.
