About The Teacher
Kate Ball loves people and loves yoga: two passions that dovetail perfectly in her life as a yoga teacher and the owner of YogaSpirit in Cape Town. When you first meet Kate, you’re right away comfortable in her presence: she’s warm, skips the small talk and laughs a lot. Her down-to-earth teaching manner makes you feel as though you’re practicing yoga with a friend. Kate teaches wildly fun sequences which feel intuitive to the body and flow with a natural rhythm. She is articulate and economical with her words, leaving appropriate silences for solitude and reflection within the practice. Kate’s devotion to yoga stems from the transformational power it’s had in her own life, spiritually, psychologically and physically. She feels deeply fortunate to share this gift with others, and teaches classes centered on love, honesty and present-moment awareness. Kate has been teaching yoga for 10 years and trained with Ana Forrest, as well as other yoga giants. Kate teaches Yoga in a very special way, every time I practice at Yoga Spirit, I feel as if I have just received a precious gift. Provided you work hard and listen carefully to her gentle voice and beautiful tunes you will feel rooted, mindfully present. Afterwards, it feels as if all my cells have been switched on. I would personally recommend Kate as a highly skilled teacher who loves imparting her love of Yoga for those willing to receive this precious gift.
