Meg Camanzo

About The Teacher

Meg is, by her own admittance, a little bit goofy. She loves the ocean and, she says, her friends believe she has a little bit of mermaid in her blood. She also has a very creative soul – Meg loves to make jewellery, illustrate  fashion designs, painting, movement, and writing – and her playful nature has students feeling at ease in her classes, which are rooted in her creativity. Meg specializes in Hatha yoga for everyone. Her teaching mantra is ‘Yoga for every BODY and everyone’ and Meg believes that if you can breathe, you can do some form of yoga. She has the ability to teach all souls and even has a qualification to teach those who are deaf and blind. Meg is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher taught by Francois Raoult; she is strongly influenced by Iyengar yoga and loves to use props in her classes to ensure that every student reaches their maximum potential. Meg currently teaches private and public yoga classes on the Northfork of Long Island, NY when she is home, but she loves to travel and just recently returned from spending five months in New Zealand.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

I'm having a baby in October and want to focus my practice so I can be present and calm! Laine

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
