Morgan Gover

About The Teacher

My name is Morgan Gover I am 21 years old. I grew up in Oklahoma and started taking dance at the age of eight at my hometown studio. I am classically trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, and contemporary. I have competed in many dance competitions around the state of OK as well as Dallas, TX. As a student I attended the Oklahoma Dance Masters Association (ODMA) convention each year and won specialty awards in the genres of ballet, tap, jazz, and lyrical. After I became too old to compete I became a teacher and choreographer for my studio. Routines that I choreographed won top awards at competitions including specialty awards for best choreography and most entertaining. I have a love for dance that runs through my blood, but beyond that I have a passion for all creative arts. I enjoy expressing myself through singing and began teaching myself to play the guitar at age 13 and the handpan at age 19. I was involved in choir classes all throughout school, was a member of the Oklahoma all-state choir, and played leading roles in my high school and college musicals as well as worked as a student choreographer for a couple of those. I also enjoy expressing myself through writing music and poetry. I recently started a blog to share some of my written expressions. When I have free time I also enjoy painting, practicing energy healing and progressing in my spirituality. I believe that the arts have an amazing ability to heal the mind, body, and soul. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge of self healing and teaching others how to use dance and music to take their healing journeys to the next level: a beautiful and expressive level. I incorporate breath work, meditation, yoga, creativity exercises, and traditional dance exercises in my dance teachings. I have worked teaching children of all ages and love the idea of using dance and music to strengthen the connection between family members. It really is a great way to have fun and promote creative learning all while strengthening the bonds between parents and their children. This workshop embodies the fun and creative elements of music and dance and allows each family to work together and express themselves freely.
