In early 2013, my friend suggested yoga as a path to healing and quieting the chatter in my mind. In my first class, I found a new stillness and soon discovered yoga to be a powerful instrument transcending the physical into my entire being – body, mind, and spirit. Guided to share this with others, I became a certified instructor and held my first yoga retreat at Vida Asana, shortly after.

My nearly lifelong food addiction and compulsive overeating were never solved with diets and gimmicks. The principles of the 12-Steps*** offered a solution that changed my life – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. And, I could easily see how to incorporate yoga into my recovery, with its supportive and healing qualities.

The gentle and restorative flows on our retreat – suited for all body types, sizes, flexibility, and levels – provide a slower, meditative practice to help quiet your mind and connect to your Highest Self (aka Higher Power).
