About The Teacher

Emily has been active her whole life starting with dancing at the age of four.  She completed her professional dance training at the University of Iowa focusing on modern and ballet.  After experiencing firsthand the stress placed on the body from dance, her interest in physiology grew.  She achieved an additional Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Physiology.  

In the past decade, Emily has taught a wide variety of dance and fitness from ballroom dance at the YMCA to Zumba in the Caribbean.  Her passion for teaching and sharing what she has learned has inspired her clients to achieve great success.  Nutritional guidance, behavior modification, and all the components of fitness are at the core of her well rounded approach.  Emily tailors her workouts and style to her clients needs and interests.  Her bubbly attitude and contagious smile makes it fun.
