Justine Baruch

About us

A ten day silent vipassana retreat was Justine’s first introduction into meditation and it was love at first sight. She comes from a long line of doers (people who like to be very active and don’t know how to sit still), therefore the concept sitting and quieting the mind was quite foreign. However, when the stillness finally came, it swept Justine off her feet and she has now committed to a life-long partnership. Instead of riding off into the sunset with her new love, she carried her pillows into the Hridaya retreats time and time again; each journey into the stillness brought its challenges as well as its rewards. Having been with Agama Yoga since 2005, Justine found Hridaya teachings to perfectly compliment her search. The retreats are a excellent combination of techniques for calming and transcending the mind as well as inspirational teachings for exploring the truth of our existence. Sahajananda, the gentle lion, captivated Justine from the beginning and has guided her into beautiful openings. Justine participated in the HTTC in 2011 because she wanted an intense Hridaya program and to be in the daily presence of Sahajananda…and she received so much more. The teachings touched her even deeper…
