Heather was inspired to create the Tech Detox Retreat to support the ability for us to experience the people and places around us, and reconnect to our own needs without the constant distractions and illusions from technology. As a busy professional and stress management expert, Heather promotes inclusive and practical wellness for people from all walks of life. Her background as a researcher gives her a deep understanding about the science of stress, including the effects of technology, the need for balance, and the vital importance of unplugging for maintaining health and wellness.
Heather is an avid adventurer and fun-seeker who enjoys playing outdoors, traveling, doing anything art-related, and not taking life too seriously. Heather is also a Certified Yoga Teacher and Happy Back certified for spinal health and alignment, with training in Yoga applications for stress, depression, and anxiety. Her favorite style of Yoga is restorative, surrounded by comfy props to deeply relax, which she playfully refers to as “take a nap Yoga”. Heather also loves spending time with her five rescue animals, including a deaf Pitbull named Dosha, and runs for enjoyment.
