About the Teacher
Why study with them?
A dedicated apprentice of the Huni Kuin tradition, Kene has embarked on her spiritual path under the guidance of her people.
She completed her first initiatory diet accompanied by her aunt, Tume Huni Kuin, deepening her connection to ancestral wisdom.
As a member of the musical group Balanço da Floresta, she lends her powerful voice and skilled guitar playing to traditional prayers, sharing the spirit of her culture both in Brazil and abroad.
Beyond music, Kene is also a leader within her community, serving as the coordinator of the Huni Kuin women’s Collective Keneya Xarabu, where she works to empower indigenous women through cultural preservation and economic sustainability.
