Henrik Uldalen

About us

Henrik Aarrestad Uldalen (1986) is a self-taught artist whose creative production revolves around traditional representational figurative painting, presented in a contemporary manner. Henrik explores the dark sides of life: nihilism, existentialism, longing and loneliness, juxtaposed with fragile beauty. The atmosphere in his subject matter is often presented in a dream or limbo-like state, with elements of surrealism. His focus is on atmospheres rather than narratives and realism, leaving his paintings open for many interpretations. Born in South Korea and growing up in Norway, Henrik now lives and works in London. www.henrikaau.com

Free Retreat Givewaway

We love you. And because we do, we're giving away another free retreat.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My inspiration is a desire to gain a deeper connection to and understanding of myself, something that I've been working hard on for so long and will continue to do in the future. I view a retreat as a wonderful way to focus entirely on this without the distractions of every day life! Nicola
