She fell in love with yoga at an early age – drawn to its mindfulness aspects and the teachings that truly spoke to her heart. After a divinely guided turn of events later in life, when she found herself returning to Colorado after years of living in New York and Paris, and  in the throes of reinventing her life, she found a little yoga studio with a big heart where she eventually completed a 200hr Teacher Training with Shannon Paige and became part of their team.

The rich tantric teachings, the desire to share the wisdom and accessibility of yoga with others and her luck of collaborating with so many wonderful Denver and Boulder area teachers, she has been teaching yoga classes at various yoga studios throughout the Denver and Boulder Colorado area since 2008. Though it was apparent that Rebecca had a passion for prenatal and postnatal yoga from early on in her teaching, it was after the birth of her first child that she really stepped into guiding mothers in prenatal and postnatal yoga. Becoming a mother was a turning point for Rebecca. As she and her husband Joel navigated pregnancy and becoming parents, she realized how both joyous and challenging it could be! She is now humbled and honored to be able to now marry her love for this journey of pregnancy and her experience as a teacher.

With a true passion for mothers, birth as a sacred rite-of-passage and the transition that leads to families, she truly honors the wholeness of this journey in all of her interactions with parents. She is honored to have found a way to share this passion in her Embracing the Mother Retreats.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

My last retreat at SMC was so inspiring and so relaxing. But i'd love to have more time there to spend at the Stupa, visit the Kami shrine, and generally interact with the beautiful enlightened society happening on that entire land. Brett

Retreat Guru's Vision

Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
