About The Teacher
Teaching yoga for nearly 20 years, Erin’s yoga path as a practitioner and teacher has been inspired by a wide gamut of styles including Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar, Qigong and Yin Yoga. Her classes are a creative, mindful synthesis of both static and flowing postures that ultimately cultivate healing and deep body/breath awareness. Erin has trained extensively with Sarah Powers, Paul Grilley and Erich Schiffmann and is a certified 500-hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT-500) with the Yoga Alliance and of the MELT Method, a specialized connective tissue release protocol which promotes healing and eliminates pain.Erin’s specialty is Yin Yoga, a profound practice that emphasizes long-held but passive poses which enhance flexibility in the joints and instill lightness and grace in the body. Her audio cd, "Yin Yoga: The Essential Practice" won rave reviews from Yoga Journal and Alternative Medicine Magazine.
