About The Teacher

Katy Moeggenberg has a passion for being active. In addition to practicing yoga for over 17 years, she is an internationally published fitness author and model, kung fu black belt (5th degree) and professional dancer and choreographer. Her book “I Chin Ching: 49 Exercises to Build Strength, Increase Flexibility, and Improve Balance” teaches a Shaolin martial arts training series that contains many basic and advanced yoga postures.

Yoga keeps Katy strong, calm and centered as she performs dance and Kung Fu over 50 times a year across venues and audiences. In addition, she uses yoga in her teaching which has been featured and sought after at national dance conventions, college universities and NFL cheerleading training camps. Katy’s students range from professional athletes to grandparents and her unique teaching style allows every student to get benefit.

Katy owns, manages and instructs at a Cincinnati-based martial arts, dance and yoga school, and has been doing so for more than 15 years. A Cincinnati native, she lives there today with her husband, Kung Fu master Joe Harmon. Visit her website or find her book on Amazon or Barnes & Noble.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Reconnecting with myself after a very crazy few months with a new baby! Just having that feeling of being grounded again. But also having an opportunity to connect with new amazing people. Getting exposed and Inspired by new (to me) yoga instructors (and community). Being in the presence of real, authentic and raw emotion (the whole spectrum).. So many reasons! Alyson
