Anne Ursu

About The Teacher

Anne Ursu is the author of several books for young readers, including The Lost Girl, The Real Boy, and Breadcrumbs. Her books have been on many best of the year lists, including from Publishers Weekly, Amazon.com, School Library Journal, and New York Public Library. The Real Boy was on the longlist for the 2013 National Book Award. Anne teaches at Hamline University’s MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults, and lives in Minneapolis with her son and four cats.

Why Retreat?

My last retreat at SMC was so inspiring and so relaxing. But i'd love to have more time there to spend at the Stupa, visit the Kami shrine, and generally interact with the beautiful enlightened society happening on that entire land. Brett
