Christine Heppermann is the author of Poisoned Apples: Poems for You, My Pretty, which was selected as a 2014 Best Book for Young Adults by Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, The Boston Globe, and the Chicago Public Library. She also writes fiction and nonfiction for children, including City Chickens (2012) and, with Ron Koertge, Backyard Witch: Sadie’s Story (2015). Her young adult novel-in-verse Ask Me How I Got Here is forthcoming from Greenwillow in May, 2016. A long-time book reviewer for a variety of publications, she currently reviews young adult literature for The Chicago Tribune.
