About The Teacher

Thriving on heart-warming experiences and honest conversations, Shari is the founder of Soul Nourish Institute. At retreats, workshops, in teacher training and one-on-one work around the world she witnesses self-aware women and men waking up to their innate strength, grace, and peace.

Shari focuses on igniting transformative soulwork and emotional health. She fuses yoga, meditation and energy techniques with a cutting-edge understanding of personality theory and psyche development. Specializing in a yogic tradition that nourishes the body-mind, Shari leads soothing, presencing meditations and deeply freeing guided relaxation. Her teaching style flows with energy and awareness.

A student and teacher of the Enneagram—a dynamic system of integrated psychology and spirituality—Shari weaves soulwork with daily life. Trained and Certified with Honors by the Riso Hudson Enneagram Institute, she creates spaces to experience the power of this applied knowledge live and in-person. She received her yoga training under the tutelage of the one of the first American yoga teachers, Ashtanga’s Tim Miller, the Yandara Yoga Institute, and other world-class yoga and meditation teachers. Shari is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) with Yoga Alliance, a Certified Prenatal Yoga Teacher and a specialist in psycho-spiritual development at advanced yoga teacher trainings. Her interest in spirituality and the subtle body led her to trainings in Reiki, the Pachamama Alliance’s Shamanism, EnneaMotionSMEmotional & Physical Intelligence, Proprioceptive Neruomuscular Facilitation and Functional Movement. Her teachers in psychology and yoga include Angela Farmer, Rod Stryker, A.H. Almaas, Sarah Powers, Mariana Caplan, PhD, MFT and various Fourth Way teachers. She is a speaker and member of Compassionate Atlanta, an International Enneagram Association Professional member and a founding member of the International Enneagram Association Georgia Chapter. Recently Shari has been a proud presenter at Dirty South Yoga Festival, Wigwam Health and Wellness Festival and the Global Enneagram Summit.

She wakes up daily to a cup of hot white tea, a soulwork journal and a healthy dose of sunshine. Shari gets particularly jazzed about creating the platforms, tools and support we need in human transformation and spiritual movement. She works best with a superfood smoothie and a view of nature at her home in Charleston, South Carolina.

Screen Shot 2018-07-10 at 3.32.47 PMA retreat is a way to call our energy back to ourselves. It’s a spiritual matter to me. The one thing I notice everywhere is how hard we’re all trying. In so much efforting and tension we lose our vital life force. We need plug in, go deep, and honor our inner life. I go on retreat to remember who I am.
