Sister Jessica Kerber, ACJ

About The Teacher

Sister Jessica Kerber has been the director of St. Raphaela Center for the past year.  She entered with the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus 11 years ago, after serving with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps and later meeting the Sisters on a mission trip in El Salvador. After professing her first vows, she completed her philosophy and theology studies at the Jesuit Pontifical University in Madrid, where she also studied about the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius as well as accompaniment.  She has served as the Director of Religious Education at Ancillae-Assumpta Academy, and now complements her ministry at St. Raphaela’s with campus ministry at St. Joseph's University and as an adjunct theology teacher at Villanova, and finds great joy and grace in accompanying young adults in spiritual direction, especially through the Spiritual Exercises.

Retreat Guru's Vision

We believe human beings are innately wise, strong and kind. This wisdom, although not always experienced, is always present. Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
