Miryam Bohabot-Firtag

About The Teacher

Miryam started practicing yoga when she became pregnant with her son in 2003. Growing up as a competitive swimmer in Lima, Peru then becoming a long-distance triathlete, she found herself needing to fill her high level of activity with a gentle and wholesome approach to her physical body.

She followed a natural curiosity for yoga, and started practicing Bikram yoga on a regular basis until she found Baron Baptiste’s Power Vinyasa Yoga, where she found her home for a few years. She continued to compete in Ironman distance triathlons and practice on a consistent basis taking her 200 hour Teacher Training at Downdog Yoga in Washington DC. Eventually she met her now teacher and mentor, Jessica Lazar in 2015, and absolutely fell in love with the Prana Vinyasa flow under the auspices of Shiva Rea, taking her 300 hour Teacher training.

Keeping long distance training and competing close to her heart, Miryam has found yoga in every aspect of her life. As a devoted yogini Miryam teaches her class based on her life experience and loves sharing, and helping people reconnect and fulfill their purpose in life. Prana Vinyasa is a life realization, a journey to greater embodiment, vitality, enjoyment of life, living flow, creative fulfillment, natural happiness and a connection to one’s inherent purpose in life.
