About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Twenty-two years ago, I became a mother for the first time. My daughter Amalia was born with many complications and was very close to dying during her first year. We were a young couple and decided to stay together and make a family. In the first few years, I was depressed and very stressed; sometimes I couldn’t move as I had heavy lower back pain. I could see the stress levels rising in my body as I had to deal with a special needs girl that needed all of my attention.

As life keeps going on and Amalia got more stable, we decided that we wanted to change our lives radically by moving to the island of Bali, a place where we have never been, and very far from our home country, Chile, and our extended family. We took our chance and moved! Bali brought to us space and time in a different rhythm. We had a real opportunity to heal.

I start exploring yoga, meditation, and breathing techniques. My physical pain fades away. It was like coming home again for me.

I became a yoga teacher 17 years ago thanks to the guidance important teachers and mentors. I explored different yoga training programs, from Vinyasa to Anusara and embodiment, finally arriving at Kundalini Yoga.

I was always curious about mental health and the power of yoga and meditation to help overcome different mental issues. I started using Kundalini yoga as a technology to assist people in dealing with stress, depression, low self-esteem, and demotivation as a method to start engaging in life again.

I became the yoga director of a well-known yoga and wellness retreat center in Bali. We did organize many retreats and yoga teacher trainings. As the pandemic began around the world, work possibilities shifted.

I met a psychologist; we immediately connected. We started working together on difficult cases related to teenage years, trauma, eating disorders, and depression. We were able to create a program where psychology and somatic therapy complement each other.

At the end of the pandemic, our lives shifted again, and we decided to move back to our home country, Chile.

My journey is a mixture of taking care of myself, loving my family and husband, and loving my students. From my love experience, I am committed to helping other people to find balance, self-love, and create the life that they deserve. Read More
