My name is Judy Crabb. It is a brave decision to seek counseling and I support and applaud your first step toward healing.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Wisconsin as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor. I received my training at UW-Whitewater and graduated in 2009 with a Master’s degree in Community Counseling and Certification in School Counseling. I also received additional training in Marriage and Family Therapy.
My mission is to make the world a better place by being a catalyst for positive change, one individual at a time. My approach to counseling is uniquely tailored to your specific needs and I work with you to develop goals and therapeutic strategies that build on your personal strengths. I also provide a positive, solution-focused, and supportive environment throughout your therapeutic journey while guiding you to make healthy life choices.
You have a personal story that has shaped who you are and what you believe. Your story is important, and deserves to be valued and respected. Within you are the keys to unlock the doors that release your true abilities to address life as it presents itself and experience true joy in all times.
My experience includes five years of outpatient mental health psychotherapy and 15 years counseling, education, teaching, and administrative positions. I began my career teaching middle school for 10 years and then went on to own my own childcare facility that services 92 children. I had the privilege of working in two school districts in a school counseling capacity, in Elkhorn at a small mental health facility and with Healthy Families of Waukesha. In 2014, I decided to open my own practice in Wales and have now decided to move my practice and join the Lighthouse Counseling family in Pewaukee, Wisconsin.
I enjoy working with couples, supporting women in their unique issues, and provide useful and practical approaches to dealing with anxiety. Because I believe that relationships are the key to joy and contentment in life, I work with individuals and families to be the best in their relationships through good communication and loving actions.
