Shirani Perera

About The Teacher

Shirani is a passionate and dedicated yoga teacher who wants to share this ancient art with as many people as possible.

Her ashram/yoga centre's mission is for people to travel on the "quiet road to contentment". In her yoga sessions one is not only instructed in asanas but also the history and the philosophy of yoga.

She has acquired her yoga teacher training certification from the Australian College of Classical Yoga and the Kashmir School of Shaivism in Dharamshala India.

Students of all age groups are most welcome to attend and try out the classes. She mainly teaches Iyengar style yoga using many props to help students experience the asana to the best of their ability.

Shirani also hosts visiting yogis to host workshops and occasional classes. See the events on Santhosa website for a very special teacher training and workshop that is to take place in 2018.

Students who need to do individualised help is available. The group sizes don't exceed 4 at any one time. All students get adjusted most of the time.

There are therapy classes for those who require special therapeutic yoga.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

To bring my friend and open her world to the gift of yoga. Denise
