Doug Sensei is a masterful counsellor/guide. I have worked with him for 20 years during my spiritual journey to awakening and have found him to be kind, direct, skillful and wise. His knowledge of the human psyche and consciousness is deep. His ability to transmit his wisdom in a way that is accessible is brilliant. I highly recommend all of his courses and retreats.

Clear Sky is a great sanctuary in the heart of the East Kootenays, where you can experience real challenge and growth from a incredibly supportive and authentic community. I found this group during a time where I was looking to overcome some chronic struggles in my life. It was tough to face the obstacles that were holding me back in my life, but the community at Clear Sky were there to pick me back up, challenge me, and encourage me the whole way through. This is a place where deep transformation begins and I truly learned what it was to embrace my vulnerability and put my curiosity and resilience into practice.

Clear Sky pays much respect to the the traditional roots of its teachings, which are from a Tibetan Vajrayana lineage. I appreciate that the teachers are able to acknowledge the Eastern roots of the teachings, and also adapt them to a our modern day-to-day concerns. Since my time at Clear Sky, I have noticed that relationships in my life are stronger, I am more patient and open minded. I am much more reflective, which has helped me in my personal life and as a supervisor in my work. Clear Sky has put me on a path of lifelong learning, and I am grateful to have such a place close to home.

I've been a student of Acharya Doug Duncan for 20 years. I've found him to be a masterful Dharma and meditation teacher, with a rare capacity to work deeply and transformatively with a wide variety of people. For 20 years he's been a guide, inspiration, encourager and trainer to me, and helped me through many transformations and healings. He has a deep and experential knowledge of the Buddhist teachings as well as other traditions such as the Western Mysteries. And more importantly he can teach and train on applying these teachings directly and practically in each moment, and is fearless and compassionate in helping students work through difficult blocks and patterns. I would highly recommend working with him to any serious meditator and student of awakening.

Over 10 years ago, a co-worker said she'd introduce me to a meditation school. The school was Clear Sky, and the teacher was Doug Duncan. Becoming a student there has changed my life. I am so glad I trusted my co-worker and followed through. Meditation is actually helping me now. Its still, for me, some measure of hard work, but its so very worth it.

I have known Doug Duncan for over twenty years. As the Clear Sky Board Secretary, I have experienced his teachings and been amazed at his level of calm and compassion.
