About The Teacher

Rakhee is a full time Yoga instructor and trained for over 4 years to become a senior instructor. Her style is a blend of Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga and she invites all levels to come and practice Yoga with her, regardless of whether they have no experience or have been practicing for years. She has practiced yoga for almost 14 years and taught for over 6.

She currently teaches across London, at companies including Nike in Oxford Circus and Hackney, as well as teaching privately in her home studio and running public classes across North London. She runs workshops and retreats regularly – most of which are sold out well in advance.

Rakhee's sessions combine physical movement, breath control and concentration to encourage students to experience alignment and peace. She also has a fun a contemporary style, so you may here the odd hip-hop track in her classes as well as classic Yoga music! Rakhee is also known for using space very well to help her students practice in a fun and interesting way – including the use of walls and bars.

Her understanding of Yoga and philosophy is deep. Rakhee is fluent in Gujarati and Hindi, as well as being familiar with many of the Sanskrit terms and teachings. Rakhee is a rare breed of a modern but deeply traditional Yoga instructor.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

Retreats inspire me to continue to practice and fuel my journey. I always find specified intention and feel it projects me closer to my purpose. Shannon
