Ram Vakkalanka was born and brought up in India, steeped in Vedic tradition. He studied the Sanskrit language, Upanishads and Vedanta, Yoga and many other branches of Indian philosophy from his childhood. His first entry into Nada Yoga was through extensive training in Indian classical music on the Sitar. Vedic sciences such as Ayurveda and Jyotisha came into Ram’s life a little later. Ram travels all over the world sharing his deep and authentic wisdom of the Vedas with interested souls in many forms. He gives lectures at Universities and other educational institutions, teaches philosophy at workshops, Yoga Teacher Trainings and Yoga Festivals, brings healing to people through his Nada Yoga concerts and workshops and conducts Pujas, Kirtans and Satsangs. So far, 20 CDs and one DVD of Ram’s works have been released, with a book on its way. Ram also created an online video course on the origins and evolution of Yoga in which he dispels many a myth about Yoga. His writings have been published both online and print; his talks have been broadcast both on Radio as well as TV.Source: livingintheself.secure.retreat.guru
