About The Teacher

A lovable and charismatic yoga teacher, Manoj is modern, grounded, and effortlessly cool. We joke that Manoj doesn’t have students, he has fans. He is our resident expert on all things related to human energy and chakras. He has the natural ability to connect with people through his intuitive understanding, sense of humour and his communication skills.

Having been born into a lineage of yoga and spiritual teachers, Manoj showed a natural aptitude for the yogic path from an early age. He grew up listening to the Bhagavad Gita and living and breathing Hindu and yoga philosophy. His expertise in yoga have been enhanced by his formal education in anatomy, biochemistry and physiology. The depth of his yogic knowledge, both spiritual and physical, is clear to all who benefit from his wonderful yoga classes.

Manoj was educated at the Bihar School of Yoga, Sivananda Vedanta Ashram and Yogalife Foundation. Through these he earned his titles as Yoga Shiroimani and Yoga Acharya.

Manoj is the founder of Yogalife Belgium, and he is currently based in Ghent. He has started to give the teachers training courses in sections while keeping the intensity found in residential courses. He directly guides two teachers training programs, one in Ghent, and one in Brussels. He also started the non profit Yogalife Festival in Bruges.

Manoj is one of the main teachers in the Antastha Yatra, A 10 day Yoga process as well as in the Hatha Yoga Foundation Retreat, both 10-days-Retreat happening in India, Goa.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

After having just completed my RYT 200 I have been inspired to further my yoga journey and my own personal journey inward. I have fallen in love with yoga and how it has changed my life and I just want to continue to explore so I can share this beautiful gift with as many as possible. Jessica

Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
