Dr Scott is a Public Health Professional that has worked with more than 10,000 patients over the past two decades.  He is devoted to helping his patients achieve optimal health through personal transformation.   Dr. Scott is a practitioner of Functional Medicine, Complementary & Alternative Medicine and Transpersonal Psychology – all philosophical approaches that are designed to help treat the whole person, not just the disease.

  • Transpersonal Psychology is a humanistic approach to therapy that was developed by American psychologist, Abraham Maslow and Czech psychiatrist Stanislav Grof in the 1960s.  Ultimately, in Transpersonal Psychology healing and growth is approached through recognition of the centrality of self.

“I have been powerfully influenced by the great insights and in-person training from Stanislav Grof, the founder of Holiotropic Breathwork™.  Grof and his colleagues, Abraham Maslow, Aldous Huxley and Ram Dass,  pioneered ground-breaking research into the use of non-ordinary states of consciousness for purposes of exploring, healing, and obtaining growth and insights into the human psyche.”  – Dr Scott

Dr. Scott’s work incorporates Transpersonal Psychology with other alternative healing modalities including Holiotropic Breathwork™ and the use of sacred Amazonian plant medicines such as Ayahuasca – an entheogenic brew made out of Banisteriopsis caapi vine and other ingredients. The brew is used as a traditional spiritual medicine in ceremonies among the Indigenous peoples of the Amazon basin and is currently gaining popularity in the United States.

Dr Scott received his training in extracting functional and nutritional information from his patients’ blood tests from Naturopathic Physician, Dr. Dicken Weatherby, a world leading expert in Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis and  author of the  bestselling book “Blood Chemistry and CBC Analysis – Clinical Laboratory Testing from a Functional Perspective“ –  a seminal text for medical students on the functional analysis of blood test results.

Since 2007, Dr. Scott has been developing acclaimed tobacco cessation programs for the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami in world-renown hospitals, federal community health centers, state correctional institutions, homeless shelters, substance abuse treatment centers, mental health facilities, local churches, community centers and corporate work-sites throughout Southern Florida.  Dr. Scott is currently affiliated with Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Area Health Education Center (AHEC).
