As Founder of Chrysalis Yoga Retreats, Kim Wolff travels the globe offering transformative yoga travel journeys in extraordinary, off-the-beaten-path destinations to bring her guests incredibly unique and wholly unforgettable experiences that inspire new ways of thinking, being and moving through the world.
“Kim shares her deep knowledge of yoga as well as her compassionate spirit, creating space for each of us to find a playful, soulful, healthy connection to our own mind and body. I have yet to leave one of her classes with anything less than a profound sense of bliss and well being.” -Karen
For many years, Kim enjoyed a career as an executive, educator and spokesperson in the corporate beauty industry. Eventually, she found herself run down from the demands of corporate life. Feeling called to live in a more gentle, balanced and grounded fashion, Kim left behind the daily grind and founded Chrysalis Yoga Retreats in 2009. Born of her love for yoga, travel and exploration of the world’s spiritual traditions and cultures CYR is a venture that’s inspired by the desire to share these life changing experiences with others. Traveling has always been a passion of Kim’s, beginning with her first trip to Europe. Once initiated into the world of wanderlust, her heart led her back to Paris, France, where she lived for a year. Kim’s Parisian pied-à-terre became a home base from which she was able to explore the continent by train. Curiosity and a strong sense of adventure has since taken her on journeys throughout the US, Thailand, Laos, India, Mexico, Morocco, British Columbia and beyond.
“Kim embodies the best of all possibilities. She is both intuitive and studied, focused and free-spirited- freely sharing her knowledge and experience, love and kindness and her bright, shining energy wherever she goes.” -Kelly
Her greatest voyage by far though, has been the journey of yoga. After practicing for over two decades, Kim began her formal study of yoga and the healing arts in 2008 with Saul David Raye– a pioneering and inspiring presence in yoga’s evolution in the west. She’s also completed immersive study programs with master teachers abroad in the areas of meditation, ayurveda and traditional Thai yoga massage therapy. Kim is honored to serve as an ambassador for Yoga Gives Back, a non-profit whose mission is to mobilize the global yoga community for the purpose of empowering women and girls in India to build sustainable livelihoods and communities. All you could want in a trip! 5 stars the entire way through, down to the extra attention to detail and unique finishing touches. The passion and effort Kim put into this retreat did not go unnoticed. The activities, outings and yoga classes were all super fun and enjoyable. The style and vibe of the B&B was mesmerizing. Lots of culture and plenty of delicious food. Trip of a lifetime. 2 thumbs up!

I highly recommend a Chrysalis Yoga Retreats. Kim Wolff carefully curates a beautiful time. The activities planned from restaurants to excursions are quality and well crafted in themselves. Kim's yoga class is gentle with yin influence, and she ends class with beautiful mantra in song. She has a great way of holding space for her students creating a nurturing and rejuvenating energy. Kim will make sure you are comfortable and taken care of whether it be finding one a vegan meal or tending to a sick retreater. I highly recommend attending a Chrysalis Yoga Retreat.

Dear Kim- I’m not sure words can express the gratitude I feel in my heart for every moment that we shared together. After a retreat with you, you come home filled with joy, wonder and gratitude. With love, kindness and patience you give each of your students the tools we need in a wonderful atmosphere and space. Every pose in a yoga class, meditation, lecture, song, ritual is like a magic wand that opens our heart, heals our body and embraces our spiritual journey. You are always available to share your knowledge, your experience, your adventures and your voice that fills our vessels. We learned how to be with ourselves, how to listen to our hearts, how to be grateful for the moment, for the nature that surrounds us, for the silence and our breath. You helped us to embrace our differences, our strengths and weakness. I’m so blessed for having you in my journey, Thank you.

The retreat in Fez, Morocco, was an exotic and magical experience. The call to prayer reminded me that I was far away from home. Within the walls of this ancient medieval city, we practiced yoga, ate like royalty, and were transported back to a distant time. Daily yoga led by Kim was centering and lovely. The meals were nourishing and delicious. Fez and the surrounding countryside were enchanting. I feel very grateful for this wonderful experience.

Kim organized an amazing retreat to Mexico City! From the welcome reception to the final group circle, every single detail was so lovingly tended to. For me, CDMX was a whirlwind adventure! I still can't believe Kim was able to pack so much into one week and she managed it all with such style and grace. I truly enjoyed each and every excursion, all the charming colonias in Mexico City, and especially the sharing, bonding, laughter and friendship our small group cultivated during our time together. Our sacred space and yoga practice kept me centered amidst the hustle and bustle of the city and somehow Kim knew just what I needed during each and every session. I truly appreciate Kim's intuitive guidance, wealth of knowledge and gentle way of caring for each and every one of us. I am forever grateful for this experience of a lifetime! Namaste
