Bill is an ordained minister of the United Church of Canada, serving at Trinity Memorial United in downtown Abbotsford since 2012. He moved from a career in electronics to ministry in the United Church in the mid-1990s, seeking a more meaningful activity for his life’s work, and graduated from Vancouver School of Theology with a Masters of Divinity in 1999.
Bill is passionate about long distance walks and pilgrimages, and the emotional, psychological, and spiritual benefits of a long journey. He has walked the Camino Santiago twice, as well as the West Highlands Way in Scotland. He is an active energy healer using the Pure Bio energy method. He enjoys the interface between science and faith and sees no contradiction in the two methods in seeking truth.
Bill first attended a Naramata Centre summer week in 1966 when he was yet small boy. Since that early start he has been to Centre programs numerous times. His faith was born, challenged and enriched at the centre. He introduced his children to the Centre in the 1980s. Today the Centre continues to be part of his spiritual journey.Source: naramatacentre.secure.retreat.guru
