About The Teacher

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have a mini-schnauzer named Patrick Bateman (He's the studio mascot). I love yoga and I love sharing things I love with other people. I started practicing yoga while working on my masters thesis. Since then, I have completed two 200 teacher training programs through Yoga Shelter, level 1 yoga therapy through Loyola Marymounts Yoga Therapy Rx program, and a 300 hour teacher training at Yoga Blend led by the amazingly awesome Christy Marsden. After my first training in 2006 I got what it truly meant to be of service and felt a strong pull to spread the yoga love. I found it to be extremely rewarding - hearing from several patients that yoga had changed their lives.

Why Retreat?

We asked people why they go on retreat, here's what they said:

After participating in more yoga classes and events this year than in my entire life, I am yearning for the opportunity to attend a professional retreat. The opportunity to grow my practice, learn from talented students and teachers, and immerse myself in this gorgeous Red Feather Lakes sanctuary is the dream of a lifetime! Sara

Going on retreat is a beautiful way to reconnect to our basic sanity and health. Our aspiration at Retreat Guru is to inspire people to experience authentic retreats and reconnect with their innate wisdom, strength and kindness.
