Ameeta Dudani, PhD, RYT (https://drdudani.com) is a mental health practitioner as well as a teacher and dedicated practitioner of mindfulness meditation and yoga. Ameeta was introduced at a young age to yoga as an application of meditation. Her journey in mindfulness began with MBSR several years ago, through which she experienced significant healing and clarity. Ameeta’s background includes working in community mental health and as a school psychologist in several GTA school boards. She currently works in private practice, where she provides mindfulness-based psychotherapy to children, teens and adults. Ameeta regularly delivers mindfulness and mental health training to educators, professionals, and those in the community. She is a UBC certified facilitator of the Stress Management And Resiliency Training course for educators and helping professionals. A registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance (RYT-200), Ameeta also teaches classes in mindful hatha yoga, yin yoga and restorative yoga. Ameeta’s work is grounded within a strengths-based, trauma-informed and social justice framework. She believes that mindfulness is instrumental in supporting the cultivation of self-acceptance, and in promoting healing and peace in the world. She considers herself a life-long learner and is passionate about making mindfulness and yoga accessible and helping others to cultivate a habit of mindful living.
