About The Teacher

Leigh Anne's style of teaching focuses on connectivity between the mind + body, breathe, and spirit, blending instruction from Astanga: Principles of Alignment with Interdisciplinary Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Flow. Her classes incorporate dynamic flowing sequences to create inner heat along with body alignment. She also focuses the restorative principles of yoga and meditation. The beauty of her classes is her calm presence and uplifting style. She encourages each student to explore him or herself fully and on many different levels. As a student of yoga for many years and a dancer even before she began yoga, Leigh Anne inherently and instinctually connects the mind, body, + spirit utilizing the breath as a bridge. In 2000, Leigh Anne received a Master Degree from New York University in Theater, Dance, and Film, keeping in line with her creative endeavors Leigh Anne continued to study yoga avidly. As time passed, Leigh Anne realized the innate power of yoga to heal. Suffering from Scoliosis since childhood, yoga has been the only source of continuous relief from pain. In the fall of 2007, she received her Yoga Teachers Certification from Frog Lotus Yoga in the Northern Berkshires. Striving to teach from a place of compassion Leigh Anne believes yoga is suitable for everyone and each individual can deepen oneself through meditation, breath, and the practice of asanas or yoga poses. Leigh Anne’s classes focus on staying connected to the inner and outer self with an emphasis on breathing, developing inner and outer mindbody awareness, as well as, core strength, muscle toning, improved posture, balance, and inner confidence.
