Directions

Camp DeForest is easy to find—just off scenic US Route 1 in Lincolnville, Maine. Look for our camp sign nestled among the pines—you’ll know you’ve arrived. We're located at: 12 Whitney Road, Lincolnville, Maine 04849 USA. Getting to Camp By Car From Portland, Maine (approx. 1 hour 45 mins): Take I‑295 north to US‑1, following signs for Rockland, Camden, and Belfast. Camp DeForest is located on the left just off US‑1 in Lincolnville, a short drive beyond Camden, and just before the bridge over the Duck Trap River. From Boston (approx. 3 hours 45 mins): Follow I‑95 north to I‑295, then connect to US‑1 northbound. Continue through Rockland and Camden; Lincolnville is just a few miles beyond Camden on US‑1 and Camp DeForest will be on your left right before you reach the bridge over the Duck Trap River. From Bangor (approx. 1 hour 15 mins): Follow US‑1A south to Belfast, then join US‑1 southbound. Camp DeForest will be on your right once you get into Lincolnville, shortly after passing south through Northport. Getting to Camp By Bus, Train, or Plane By Bus or Rideshare: Concord Coach Lines runs daily services from Boston and Portland to Camden, Belfast, and Lincolnville. Taxis and ride-hailing services are often available from either stop, and the camp is about 5 to 20 minutes away by road depending on where you get off. By Train: Amtrak’s Downeaster line travels from Boston to Brunswick, Maine. From Brunswick, transfer to a bus, rental car, or taxi/rideshare for the final leg (approx. 1 hour 30 mins). By Plane: The nearest airports are Portland International Jetport (PWM, approx. 1 hour 45 mins), Bangor International Airport (BGR, approx. 1 hour 15 mins), and Knox County Regional Airport in Owls Head (RKD, approx. 42 mins), which has direct and very scenic flights from Boston via Cape
