About Walking Through Nature
Walking Through Nature
Mission & Vision
Pilgrims across time and cultures have long known what modern science now confirms: walking transforms us.
There is something elemental about it—step by step, breath by breath—we begin to shed urgency and open to clarity. The path becomes more than physical; it becomes a space of listening, release, and renewal. On this retreat, we walk not to arrive quickly, but to arrive deeply—into stillness, into presence, into the more-than-human world that surrounds us.
Walking as meditation is not reserved for monks or mystics. It’s for anyone—modern pilgrims, curious seekers, those in transition—who long to reconnect with themselves and the living Earth. Every step is an invitation into presence.

Venue & Amenities
You’ve felt the call of stillness—the desire to step away from the noise of our daily lives—and into presence. We all need quiet time to ourselves, yet with constant work, commitments, political pressures, and daily busyness, it is difficult, if not impossible, to do without taking intentional time away. We will walk approximately 90 miles over 7 days in this contemplative walking retreat along the the first section of the ancient Le Puy Camino (Via Podiensis, GR 65) through rural France.
Meals
Menu Types
8 breakfasts and 6 dinners (featuring local produce and regional specialties).
