Quiet, relaxing stay at Hermitage
Hermitage had everything needed for a solo retreat. Comfortable bed and chair, everything needed to prepare meals and a desk with a window looking out to the field. It is small but so cozy! I loved the fire pit, trails and animals! The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to get away for a few days for a quiet, restful retreat.

Hive to Table Magic
From start to finish, this experience was unforgettable. The bee tour was such a unique and immersive way to begin the evening — suiting up, stepping into the apiary, and learning how honey is made right at the hive added a level of connection you don’t often get at on‑farm events. Emily’s knowledge and passion made the whole thing feel both fascinating and surprisingly calming. And the food… truly out of this world. Every course felt intentional, beautifully crafted, and bursting with flavour from the farm itself. The ingredients, the presentation, the pacing — everything came together in a way that made the dinner feel special and genuinely memorable. It was the perfect blend of education, atmosphere, and exceptional dining.

Great experience, wonderful food
The Bee experience was lovely. Would have been fun to extract some honey from the hive during the tour, but otherwise, the experience was great. The food was better than I expected after getting the menu in advance (maybe not send it in advance?)-- the execution of the dishes was fabulous and gourmet, and the touch of honey throughout, without it being too sweet, was brilliant. Really enjoyed the chef coming out to explain the menu, bit by bit. Added to the farm to table experience and his sense of humour made it light and fun. I would absolutely recommend tbis experience!

Retreat at the "Faerie Cottage"/Hermitage
I cannot imagine a more sacred space to sit in solitude, as well as to reflect, journal and hold ceremony as I continue to grieve the death of my beloved child! My spirit lifted and my heart sang as soon as I stepped onto the land where the Hermitage is nestled among beautiful gardens and Mother Trees. I immediately knew that my child would have claimed the beautiful little building as a "faerie cottage" when they were young. How wonderful it was to experience magic and mystery over the days I was there with my child's spirit! It was such a comfortable, safe space to call home for a few days. I listened to the soundtrack of my child's life (I brought my own CD player) as I prepared for ceremony since music was vital in our life together. It was so quiet, there were no distractions as I settled into that emotional journey. I journaled in the wee hours before sunrise at the sweet little desk set beneath a window in a cozy corner. I felt as if my need for privacy was honored, while also being confident that if I needed support, I could reach out. I walked the labyrinth (a short distance from the Hermitage), wandered and make acquaintances with the cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and ducks (my child adored animals), and became familiar with the land. Such a deeply satisfying weekend! I am seriously considering spending time in the "faerie cottage" during all four seasons.
