About High on Life

Mission & Vision

The in-between is the most powerful place to be. Because in that moment you have a choice. You have an opportunity to come closer to your truth, to reinvent yourself, and to create a new reality.
Four years ago, on a solo trip in Panama, during a breathwork and meditation session, I had a vision of a circle of women, the ocean, ceremony, real connection. I could not unsee it, so I kept following it. I kept choosing it in every in-between since, until it became my reality.
I trained as a yoga teacher and holistic guide, and everything I have learned since is folded into this one week. So that you do not spend six years finding on your own what someone could have helped you reach.
I live on the Pacific coast now, and during the retreat I am with you the whole week.

Casa de las Diosas is a private villa in the hills above Uvita, on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Jungle on three sides, the ocean below, and the whale's tail laid out in front of you. We have the whole house, with no other guests and no front desk.

There are two shalas overlooking the ocean, one open to the air and one under cover. An infinity pool runs the length of the house, and a jacuzzi is set into the hillside to catch the sunset. There is a fireplace for the evenings, daybeds and shaded corners in enough places that you can always find one to yourself. Downstairs there is a gym and a pool table.

Playa Hermosa is five minutes down the hill. Uvita, the whale's tail sandbar and the waterfalls are all a short drive away. Monkeys, tucans and sloths are often passing by the villa.

Meals

Menu Types

Whole, mostly organic and locally sourced. Real food from the land: plenty of fruit and vegetables, and also fish, meat and eggs. Not vegan, not vegetarian, not a cleanse. Just good clean food, cooked fresh by our private chef three times a day and shared at a long table. Once your place is held you are sent a form asking about allergies, restrictions and anything you are avoiding, and the menu is built around what comes back. Meals Provided: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Getting Here

Location icon High on Life, Puntarenas Province, Uvita, Costa Rica

Directions

Fly into San José, airport code SJO. It is about three and a half hours by road down to Uvita, and the group travels together.

Arriving: land before midday on the first day. The group shuttle leaves the airport in the early afternoon, which puts us at the villa in time to settle in, watch the sun go down and open the week together that evening. That first night matters.

Leaving: book your flight home from late morning on the final day.

If your flight lands outside that window, a private transfer is arranged for you at your own cost.
