About Senda Loto Alma

Mission & Vision

Senda Loto Alma exists to protect a rare quality in the modern world: silence. Set on sixty hectares of private Andean forest in Tinjacá, Colombia, two kilometers from the nearest road, the center offers a territory where the noise of the city cannot reach — allowing contemplative practice to unfold in the conditions it was designed for.

Rooted in Shamatha, the foundational meditation of the Buddhist contemplative tradition, our retreats are held in small groups of no more than eight participants. The instructions are simple, the language is secular, and no prior experience is required. Our work is to hold the space; the territory does the rest.

Senda Loto Alma is built across sixty hectares of private Andean forest, with a dedicated meditation and yoga shala at the heart of the property, alongside adobe-walled accommodations designed to hold indoor temperature naturally year-round. The property includes a hidden waterfall, mountain trails, a communal dining area, gardens, and quiet gathering spaces — all set two kilometers from the nearest road, so the territory itself carries the silence of the retreat.
